TradeWind Irrigation Crew performs inground sprinkler system installation

We never leave a job unless it's perfect.

Jason Giangreco started working for a company that did sprinkler irrigation systems and noticed that the company paid attention to volume and not quality. Because of his own focus on quality, he decided to start TradeWind Irrigation & Landscaping in 1990 as a one-man operation, doing both sprinkler systems and irrigation installations working out of his home in Rocky Hill, CT. After two years, Giangreco realized he would do a better job if he just concentrated on sprinkler system installations and quit landscaping. He set out to be the best sprinkler installation company in Connecticut.

TradeWind Irrigation grew steadily throughout the 1990s, with customer after customer referring our installation and service to friends, business associates and neighbors. Giangreco added staff as the company grew. in 1996, he moved TradeWind Irrigation to Progress Circle in Newington, CT as his business continued to expand.

In 2000, Gary Krom joined the company as a project manager, taking over management of all outside work, designs, estimates and sales. Gary has steered the company to further success. His attention to detail and perserverance in achieving excellence quickly accelerated the company's growth, causing it to triple in size.

In 2006 Jason and Gary started talking about transitioning the company over to Gary. They worked as partners until Gary actually purchased the business in 2008. Presently, Gary's wife, Mary Ellen, and sons are involved in this family business as well as the experienced employees that have grown the company for over 20 years.

Presently, TradeWind Irrigation has over 3,000 clients throughout Connecticut. Our service chief has been installing and servicing sprinkler and irrigation systems for 40 years and our crew chief has over 25 years of experience. None of our employees are allowed to do a call on their own unless they have served with us for a full apprenticeship and meets our exacting standards. The newest unsupervised technician you will see on your job has been with us for four years.

At TradeWind Irrigation, our motto is, "No matter what it costs us, our work must be perfect. Our reputation is the most important asset the company has."
